Covid-19 Policy
MsC is committed to protecting the health of our attendees and staff to the best of our abilities by creating the safest environment possible. To achieve that, the MTTA Board has approved a requirement to be fully vaccinated according to CDC definition, (fully vaccinated may include having the third booster if the CDC upgrade the definition by June 30th) and have committed to follow whatever guidelines the CDC, the State of Maryland, the County of Prince George, Marriott Hotels, and/or MTTA, Inc. may have in place, including the possibility of a mask requirement, to protect the health of all attendees at the time of the event.
MsC COVID POLICY UPDATE
BOOSTERS ENCOURAGED BUT NOT REQUIRED AND MASKS ARE OPTIONAL
Earlier this year, MsC established a June 30 deadline for any potential new vaccine guidelines from the CDC. No new guidelines have been announced. Thus, we confirm our commitment to abide by the health authorities. Currently, the term “fully vaccinated” stands for two doses of Pfizer or Moderna or one dose of Johnson & Johnson.
Boosters will not be required to attend MsC, however, boosters are strongly encouraged to create a safer environment for the well-being of all attendees.
Regarding face masks: currently, there are no requirements for the use of face masks by the CDC, the State of Maryland or Prince George’s County. If no mask requirement continues by the dates of our event, the use of masks will not be required but they will be optional. Individual responsibility will prevail. Each attendee should make their own decision regarding the use of face masks.
MTTA, INC BOARD OF DIRECTORS RESOLUTION
“MTTA will require proof of Covid vaccination with no exceptions at all of our events. The Executive Committee of MsC and the Directors of the Academy will implement the process following the CDC, the State of Maryland, the County of Prince George, Marriott Hotels, and/or MTTA, Inc. may have in place, including the possibility of a mask requirement, to protect the health of all attendees at the time of the event.”
COVID-19 STATEMENT FOR ATTENDEES:
In order to register, attendees are required to agree to the following:
“I affirm that I have been fully vaccinated, including having the third booster available, for Covid-19 and I will present my vaccination card upon arrival to the event. I understand that if I do not present the vaccination card at the time of arrival in person at the event hotel, I will not be allowed to attend the event and I will not be reimbursed the registration fee. I understand and acknowledge that any use of a fake vaccination card will be justifiable cause to deny my attendance to the conference.
“I also understand and acknowledge that, by registering for this event, I agree to follow whatever protocols the CDC, the State of Maryland, the County of Prince George, Marriott Hotels, and/or MTTA, Inc. may have in place, including the possibility of a mask requirement, to protect the health of all attendees at the time of the event.”.”
