“Our journey continues” set for Labor Day Weekend
WASHINGTON, DC – With the theme of “Our journey continues”, the seventh annual Master/slave Conference (MsC) will be held in Washington DC on September 3-6, 2010 over Labor Day Weekend. The heavily educational event is produced every year by MTTA, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization based in the Nation’s Capital.

Following the tradition, on Friday, the event will break with their “Meet and Greet Reception” followed by a formal opening ceremony and the Keynote Address by slave caroline from Los Angeles, California.

New Hotel Contract until 2012!
WASHINGTON, DC. February 24. 2010
The Master/slave Conference has a home for years to come.
MTTA, Inc., the producers of the annual Master/slave Conference, announced today an agreement which will allow the event to stay at the Crowne Plaza Washington, DC – Silver Spring until 2012.
After very smooth negotiations, both sides agreed to a two-year extension considered mutually beneficial to both sides. The hotel will enjoy our business during Labor Day Weekend and the event will gain stability in an exquisite venue.
Master Taino, President of MTTA and Executive Producer of the Master/slave Conference, signed the contracts for both 2011 and 2012 this week. He praised the General Manager of the hotel for welcoming MsC to the Crowne Plaza and for the excellent service the hotel provides to our attendees.
The new contracts mean that the event, which began in 2004, will stay at the same venue, the Crowne Plaza, for at least five consecutive years after being in four different hotels the first four years.
The new contracts will benefit our attendees in a very special way as the room rate of $109 per night will continue the same for the duration of the contract. It also means that this rate has and will be the same for five consecutive years, since the conference of 2008 to the 2012. MsC attendees can also continue to plan ahead as the new contracts will guarantee that the event will continue taking place during Labor Day Weekend.
Master Taino gave credit to Master J, who assisted him with the negotiations of the contracts, and to the late Master Jack McG, who as the advisor of the Board, intervened two years ago to create a better understanding between the hotel management and the event producers.
“But since the new General Manager took over the hotel previous to the 2009 Conference, the relationship between the hotel management and the event producers blossomed,” said Master Taino. “The hotel management is committed to a high standard of service for our attendees which can be seen in the quality of the accommodations and meeting space, the great food and the personal service from both managers and employees of the hotel.”
